Japan Plans to Introduce AI Robots for Security and Waste Management by 2030
NextFin News --  Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) is drafting a plan for the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) robots capable of autonomous operation, with the goal of introducing them to use cases such as security and waste management by 2030. The government and private sector will also collaborate to develop a new generation of AI that will serve as the "brain" for these robots. By utilizing AI robots that can perform at a higher level of capability, the initiative aims to alleviate labor shortages and enhance productivity. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is expected to announce a roadmap titled "AI robot strategy," summarizing measures for the development and dissemination of AI robots in the near future.
