Red Bear AI Raises Hundreds of Millions in A+ Round at $420 Million Valuation
TMTPOST — Red Bear AI completed a several-hundred-million RMB A+ financing round with a post-money valuation approaching 3 billion RMB ($420 million), the company said on Monday.
Zhejiang Jiuwei Private Equity Fund, Jiaxing Zhangyuan Venture Capital, and existing investor Gerui Feng led the round, which supplements its prior A round; it marks the firm’s sixth financing in just 15 months. Proceeds will fund foundational research in AI memory science, integration of its OpenBear, CodeBear, and MemoryBear models into a native Agent architecture, and expansion across customer service, marketing, education, and ChatBI applications.
China’s AI startup funding environment remains selective amid macroeconomic headwinds, yet memory-augmented models are drawing strong interest as developers seek durable competitive advantages in agentic systems. For Red Bear AI, rapid capital accumulation underscores investor bets on memory-driven architectures as a foundational layer for more reliable, context-aware commercial AI deployments.
