Jingling Zhikang Secures Nearly 100 Million Yuan in Angel Funding
TMTPOST — Rehabilitation robotics developer Jingling Zhikang has completed an angel funding round of nearly 100 million yuan ($14 million) to advance its accessible bionic hand platform. The early-stage round was led by Longpan Capital, with co-investments from Jiangxi Financial Holding, New Huadu Chairman Ni Guotao, and USTC Silicon Valley. Proceeds will support core technology iteration and accelerate deployment of affordable prosthetic hands designed for real-world rehabilitation scenarios. Company management stated that expanding hardware adoption in everyday user environments generates operational telemetry needed to build a continuous physical artificial intelligence data flywheel. Spun out of biomechanics researchers from Fudan University, the enterprise integrates humanoid haptics, exoskeleton actuators, array-motor drives, and natural force-control algorithms to lower manufacturing costs for multi-articulating prosthetics. High production costs and fragmented user metrics have historically constrained the commercial adoption of advanced prosthetic robotics. By embedding sensor-equipped prosthetic hardware into daily consumer routines, developers can capture complex real-world interaction data to refine dexterity models and autonomous control software. Venture investors are increasingly prioritizing hardware-software platforms that combine affordable mass-market manufacturing with specialized datasets, positioning medical robotics as a vital testbed for embodied artificial intelligence applications.
