Nearly 10,000 Tmall Brands Enter Southeast Asia via Lazada
TMTPOST — Lazada, Alibaba’s Southeast Asia e-commerce platform, said nearly 10,000 Tmall brand merchants had joined its “One-Click Light Going Overseas” program by the end of the first half of 2026. The project, launched in September 2025, enables Tmall sellers to expand into Southeast Asian markets through system-level integration that mirrors domestic store operations. Merchants can ship goods to designated warehouses in China while Lazada handles international logistics, after-sales support and marketing. Participating brands have recorded sustained double-digit sequential quarterly growth in transaction volume, with June 2026 single-month GMV exceeding 400 million yuan according to platform disclosures. The initiative is part of Lazada’s broader strategy to lower entry barriers for Chinese brands and support different stages of overseas expansion, including lighter testing models before full local operations. Outdoor brand Mobi Garden and jewelry group Chow Tai Fook are among the merchants that have used the program to expand in markets such as Vietnam and Malaysia.
