TMTPOST — SK Hynix completed its two-month, 40 trillion won share repurchase program on October 21 on the Korea Exchange. The company bought back 24.07 million shares, or about 3.3 percent of its outstanding stock, for approximately 40.0434 trillion won and will cancel all of them. The repurchase finished roughly one month ahead of the original November 19 deadline and ranks as the largest share cancellation by a Korean listed company. Samsung Electronics had earlier completed a large-scale buyback of its own.
