TMTPOST — Baidu plans to disclose research progress and results on its world model in the near term, according to an exclusive report. World models focus on modeling and predicting physical environments. If applied to autonomous driving, the technology could improve prediction and decision-making in complex scenarios and support larger-scale robotaxi deployment. Baidu’s Apollo Go service has expanded to 28 cities worldwide and accumulated substantial real-road data, while the company has also supported more than 50 key players in the embodied-intelligence supply chain. Baidu has not commented on the specific use case or any direct link to Apollo Go.
